"Sweetie, being gay is the best excuse to not be boring", no other than 'Patsy Stone' could have said it any better. Darling, you've either been totally loaded on Stoli, or living under a rock the past 20 years, if you haven't heard of the legendary BBC series "Absolutely Fabulous". The smash hit British comedy series that follows publicist Edina or Eddie Monsoon (Jennifer Saunders) and her partner in crime, fashion director Patsy Stone (Joanna Lumley) as they live the 'elite' life of excessive substance abuse fueled misadventure. The show which ran 36 episodes long between 1992 and 2004, showcased the two high life obsessed ladies through every outrageous fad, from injecting 'Paralox', to soaking in bizarre isolation tanks and even adopting Russian babies. They do anything they could think of to try to stay in the spotlight of what was hot, hip, or cool.

You can only imagine the excitement of all us 'AbFab-ers' when the BBC confirmed this past spring that we'll be seeing Patsy and Edina grace the screens in the return of a new mini season!!! The show began filming three new episodes in August, which will be the first new shows in six whole years!! Although filming has started there isn't much word as to what Jennifer Saunders has included in the scripts, only "We fast-forwarded to where they're very old and nearly dead and practically plugged into vodka machines," mentioned by Joanna Lumley. With that said you know we will be in for a wild time. Perhaps Saffy (Edina's daughter) might still be the voice of reason for the two? Or maybe they've finally preserved their middle-aged selves forever with the endless bottles of Stoli they've consumed? Just a thought. But you can bet Patsy and Eddie, regardless of their state or age, will be as fame and style crazed as ever. It doesn't seem anything will ever slow these two down. The new episodes will be aired on the BBC, which means us lucky Canadians will most definitely be able to view them!! So in Eddie's famous words... 'Get ready for this, sweeties!'
